Who we are
This policy explains how Verde Optimal Limited (“Verde Optimal”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17437140, collects and uses personal data when you visit verdeoptimal.co.uk, send us an enquiry, or book a discovery call. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. This policy is separate from our terms and conditions, which cover how we handle client data on a project.
What we collect, and why
Enquiry form. When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, business name (if given), and the message you write. This is processed for us by Web3Forms, which delivers the submission to our inbox by email. We use it to reply to your enquiry — our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to prospective clients, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Discovery call bookings. Booking a call uses Calendly, a separate service with its own privacy policy. Calendly collects the details you enter to schedule the call (typically your name and email). We only see the booking details needed to hold the call.
Direct email. If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence to respond to you and keep a record, on the same legitimate-interest basis as above.
Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to the site — page views and general visit patterns. It does not use cookies and does not collect information that identifies you personally; data is aggregated.
Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, which means your IP address is shared with Google as part of that request. We don't control what Google does with that request beyond serving the font file.
Who we share data with
We don't sell personal data. It's shared only with the service providers above where necessary to run this website and respond to you: Web3Forms (enquiry form delivery), Calendly (call booking), Google (font delivery), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). Each operates under its own privacy policy as an independent data controller or processor for the data it handles.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and email correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and for our business records, then deleted or anonymised. If your enquiry becomes a project, the relevant details are kept for the length of the engagement and afterwards as required by law (for example, accounting and tax records).
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email fabio@verdeoptimal.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've handled your data incorrectly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new service. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
